Sentinels of Light FA. WIP - links at bottom of first post. Updated 3/3/11

I've decided I'm probably going to work on this. I've already balanced several classes, and I'm trying to clean up the old files and organize them.

This thread is for any suggestions related to the FA. If anyone with an already existing character wants their character changed somehow, please state how. If anyone recently added to the clan would like a character, please state what you want your character to have, within reason. Please give the basic ideas of your class in any format that is easily read, that contains the following information -

1) General ---

Armor:
Weapons:

Attributes:
Speed:
Model scale:

2) Duelist

Stances:
Defense level:

3) Force sensitive

Force pool:
Force regen:
Force powers:

I may have missed something, as it's late. If you have a unique lightsaber hilt, weapon, or character model that you wish to be included, please post a link of it in this thread and give details as to what you want. I'll see what I can do.

All discussion about balance and imbalance of things related to the FA is allowed in this thread, whether positive or negative. I hope that you all know the boundaries reasonably enough. Ask the questions that you may have. Multiple classes are allowed, but please request such within reason and have patience and understanding. Please also report any bugs/glitches you find, here.

A friendly reminder/disclaimer; my butt is not fat just because I nerfed your class. I am not addicted to pizza or ice cream, and I was not dropped on my head repeatedly by a yeti after birth. These are your classes though, and I will definitely hear you out about them.


You need BOTH of these files. The times that the files were updated will be listed beside them. If there is no time or information next to one, that means there is no new update for that particular file. PLACE THEM BOTH IN YOUR MB2 FOLDER AND OVERWRITE ANY OLD FILES, UNLESS OTHERWISE SPOKEN!

There are some dependencies on other files as well. Most people already have these files, but if you don't - you need the Movie-game map packs.

I'm going to be doing this in a way similar to how the group Defenders of Peace did it, if there is any interest shown in the FA. There will be a larger primary pack(s) and a small file known as a "class team" file. The larger pack will hold models, sounds, map files and various other things. The class team file will generally consist of small information such as the actual class data. Having them kept separate will make it so that people don't have to download the larger packs every time a small change is made to the classes.

This may also be opened to people outside of the clan, if any interest is shown in that regard. I have not made anything like this for a significant number of people before, so I don't know how overwhelming/complicated it may be. I have been making FA files for quite some time though, just privately.

off of my character, i would like to add sense 2, defense 3, dex 2, and a yellow stance on my sword. If thats all possible.

Your class already has yellow stance. I added defense 3. Your class has jump 3, so the dexterity jump will be buggy. Sasori had it so that you have force block 1, but you only have 85 force points. That means, you never have force block. Would you like to have dexterity 3 in place of force block, or instead have your force block put to 2 and your FP raised to 100? I can also just give you dexterity 2, as you asked.

ok ill take teh last choice with the fb 2 and fp 100 and teh dex..that will be all mastah gaar.

No ma'am. I've just seen lots of complaints about it since ancient times. You can still vaporize people, you just have to have more of a knowledge of where they are located. I gave you force block too, which is a buff against a few classes that were overpowered against yours. If anymore changes are needed, I'll be fine making them.

I nerfed lots of classes, including myself considerably. I have no accurate idea on the general balance of the three classes that have been added so far, though. I've only tested them with one other person. I don't know how they'll play out in normal play, but I have ideas.

If I post the files here, can they be uploaded to the server?

One of the two people with rcon need to upload it to the server before it can be used. The same thing will be needed for any future character files when they're updated.

There is a fair chance there are bugs that were not found. There is one that I do know of, that may have been affected by my own server. I suppose this should be considered beta testing in a way. Hopefully it goes well.

Another patch for Norris, Lucas, and Melon!

New update at 8:02PM EST. Shadow class added. Raised Melon's FP regen to 2.0, increased melee KB to 50. Raised Prilla's FP to 125, lowered saber length to 60 (from 100). Lowered Conanga base speed by 30%.
